How to fix bad credit?

Author: admin

Get your credit report. I assume you have some collections and/or charge-offs. Start contacting lenders to resolve those issues. If you have a $100 charge off, find out what they’ll accept to show it as paid. Then move on to the next one. Bigger collections and charge offs will take time to resolve. But you can resolve them.

Start rebuilding with a low line of credit from a national lender. Maybe a credit card at Wal Mart (believe it or not). DO NOT charge this thing up. Make small purchases, and pay it off monthly. Then you can work your way back up.

Credit takes a long time to build. But it can be destroyed in just a couple of months. Rebuilding afterward takes discipline, time and more discipline. But, it will be well worth it in the long run

Hopefully you paid your out standing bills if not well then not going to happen but if you did apply for a savings account and save up as much money and it will build your credit back up and if you keep paying bills on time it will go up slowly

Answer:
I had bad credit and what I did was work with a credit repair agency. They cleaned up my credit large time.

Here’s a brief explanation of how it works: The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) gives you the right to contact credit bureaus directly and dispute items on your credit reports. You can dispute any and all items that you feel classify as inaccurate, untimely, misleading or unverifiable (questionable items). If the bureaus cannot verify that the information on their reports is indeed correct, then those items must be removed. A disputed credit listing must be accurate, timely and verifiable for it to remain on the credit report. Very often, though, disputed credit items cannot be verified: the creditor either no longer possesses the information or does not wish to go to the trouble of verifying it. Also, the investigation must be finished within 30 days. The credit bureaus don’t always meet this deadline, so the listing must be removed. For these reasons, properly disputed questionable credit listings have been removed with remarkable frequency.

I’ve personally worked with Unified Credit Services http://www.unifiedcreditservices.com and was very pleased with the results. They get the job done quickly and effectively. They were actually referred to me by a friend who was also happy with their work. I would highly recommend that you work with a one of these types of agencies as they will be very helpful in raising your credit score quickly.

I hope this helps. Good Luck!

Answer:
It's easy. Pay everything on time. It's that simple, and works every time. And, by the way, is the only way to fix or maintain credit.

I also screwed up my credit early in life. Age has also brought the discipline of paying bills on time.

Answer:
Do whatever you can to get some small credit and pay it consistently. Do that for a while and your score will go up. The small credit should not be a loans company, though…just something like a credit card from Home Depot or Target.
