The dealers have the automobile with the exact interior and everything i want except the perfect color. the color i want has leather seats which is NOT what i want. How can i go about negotiating this with them?

Answer:
Dealers can get any automobile with any options you want. They have the ability to get one built right from the factory or find one in another dealers lot and get it from there. Don't settle for something you dont want, so state if you want black with no leather, DON'T settle for black with leather.

1) Go to the dealer and test drive the automobile you want (if you haven't already)

2) Tell them EXACTLY what you are looking for and that you won't settle for less

3) If they state they can't work with you on that, or offer you something else, simply walk away (they will probably call you in a couple days and tell you they have exactly what you wanted)

4) If they still don't have what you want, or don't call you back and other dealers dont either (maybe the factory doesn't make the color you want with anything but leather) then maybe you can look at another car or settle on leather but go for a lower price because its not exactly what you want.

Before you purchase anything though, ask to see the invoice price. (the price the dealer paid) and negotiate from there. Most dealers won't let you go below that price (unless they’re trying to get rid of the car to make room for others) but you can maybe get it only $500 or so above invoice.

If you could tell us what car it is and with what interior that might also help us out! thanks!

Answer:
Make an offer. It should be 15% to 20% below the maximum amount you would pay so that there is room to bargain.

If the seller accepts your offer, you’ve a deal. The salesperson will then prepare a Buyer's Order or Buy Agreement to be signed by you. Insist on a readable document, not a first draft. A preprinted form or computer-generated form might automatically charge you for things you have already refused so examine the contract before you sign.

Check the purchase agreement for arithmetic errors, mistaken prices, extra charges, omissions, and blank spaces.

Be sure that the information on the purchase agreement is consistent with the information in your notes.

Get all verbal promises in writing.

There’s no three-day cooling off period for auto contracts so don’t sign any vehicle contract without understanding it.

Your signature is legally binding

Answer:
What manufacturer are u dealing with? most companies can order the vehicle you. I know cause i am looking into buying a car too and asked the dealer to search for the exact car i want. He has the ability to search local inventories for you to find it, if not he has the ability to have it ordered for you, you can still deal with him because if he does order it for you, you are in no way forced to purchase the automobile. Also check the companies website I know fordvehicles.com always users to search for the exact automobile they want options and all…. Hope this helps

Answer:
