I live in the NY Metro area and bought a Honda CRV 4 weeks ago. Dealer still has not received the automobile. How long does it normally take to get a vehicle delivered in a specific color and model???

Answer:
I’m assuming you had the dealership order a car from the factory for you. We do this at my dealership all the time, I have had cars take 5weeks and I have had them take 8-9 weeks. The dealership cant control what they’re building at the facotry, what they have the ability to do is check the progress of the automobile for you. Just call them and ask and someone there (probably the same person who put in the order) should know how to look up the progress on the car. If you went to a smaller dealership it might take some extra time to get shipped because the shipping company will wait for a full load of automobiles to go in that direction before they’ll ship it. We’d one facotry order that sat in a shipping yard 30 min away from us for 3 days because they didnt have any trucks coming our way.

On average I would state it takes 6-7 weeks for a sold facotry order, if you didnt already buy the automobile and your just waiting for it to come in and then purchase it when it gets there it will take longer, if your doing that then see if they have the ability to dealer trade a automobile for you.

Just call the dealer and NICELY ask about the progress of your vehicle, no need to be snippy about it, its not thier fault.

Answer:
Depends on availability and the person who does dealer locates. Report Abuse

Answer:
usually 4-6 weeks it in most cases they’ll deliver them a lot faster,in most cases around 3.5 weeks ,it depends on what all you ordered on it and how backed up they’re on orders, they,ll tell you around 4-6 weeks that allows more than enough time, good luck.

Answer:
It can take any amount of time. It depends on the vehicle. A typical build takes 6 to 8 weeks. But some models can take 3 to 6 months. Depends on where it is being built.

Answer:
Six to eight weeks… it may have to be built. Can the dealer do a dealer trade? If so, you’ll get it quicker.
