1997 GMC Suburban

Stock factory head unit, speakers, etc.

Want all new factory location speakers plus twin 10″ subs.

Answer:
your ideal bet, if you dont mind spending a tiny bit of money is to upgrade the factory stereo to a cd/ mp3 or even dvd. usually the GMC have the double din stereo so you could get an indash touch screen with gps and all that if you want, if not just a good cd play will do the job, as long as it has the AUX out for the subs. for speakers anything that’s rated over 100 watts rms will be more than enough. and sub woofers you want to make sure they will handle what your going to give it. make sure you speak to a professinal about the right sub and amp combination so you get the best sound you're looking for. i personally like the clarion speakers and Alpine in dash 7″ touch screen head unit…with JVC subs. but thats in a 96 civic. you have a lot more room to do anything you want in your GMC.

Answer:
I would get a double din touch screen. they are decently cheap for double dins. Door speakers i would go with some memphis, memphis makes pretty good door speakers for the price. As for subs you’ve a lot of room. i wouldn’t do less than 2 12's. 2 10's just isnt enough for a suburban.

Answer:
go to a vehicle ausio store and they will let you know
