Well, my father concurred to getting me a 2004 or 2005 BMW x5 4.4i. The problem is I don't know if the automobiles have an ipod adapter? I’ve 4,000 songs on my personal and I'm unwilling to burn them all to CD's. Does the X5 have an Auxiliary port so I have the ability to buy one of those 90 dollar adapters by belkin or griffin to hook up to my car? Also, any major problems with both years of the X5.
Thanks!

Answer:
Yes you can purchase the ipod adapter installation kit from BMW, ($150 about an hour to install) but it will only work on automobiles without NAV, Optional CD changer or Sirius satellite radio and without the upgraded premium sound system.
The kit comes with 2 wire harnesses and an interface box. The interface box connects to the back of the radio with a cable that then runs to the glovebox. The connector in the glovebox is used to connect to your ipod. This cable will also charge your ipod.

I guess you should also check insurance quotes for the car before buying one, for example here: http://carinsurance.yoll.net
First time drivers usually have much higher rates than others. And it depends from car.
BMW jeeps are very high-priced to insure.
Answer:
you could always just go to autozone and buy an adapter that they have there that costs around $40 and it just plugs into the cigarette lighter in your vehicle and plays off of a radio station ; it's what i use .
