Fast is a relative term, in this case I believe it is faster than a Yugo stuck in reverse. Of course I could be wrong, it might be a bit slower. Can I race you with my riding mower. If your looking for fast you need a V8, if not settle for the speed you'll be doing past the gas stations. You can still have fun with a four cylinder. Good Luck.

Terribly slow. This was one of Chevy's great mistakes, IMO. That 2.2 is awful, in the Malibu. It is okay now in 2008, completely new automobile, with the 2.4, 169 hp. I believe.

It's not a race automobile, it was built as a economy vehicle to save gas and get you from point A to point B and it does a very good job at it.
If your wanting a automobile with more power buy a camaro
