I know few people with a Chevrolet Corvette and they tell me that they don't drive it all the time.. Why is that?? They cost to much just to let it sit there…

Answer:
Well its a great vehicle ofcoarse.

It has a 6.2L V8 and 430hp..and with upgrades you can get an a 7L engine wich has 530 hp. Its a great fast beautfiul automobile and can go as fast as ferraris and other luxury racing automobiles but much more affordable. Even though its a great vehicle its not an everday automobile because it eats up gas like CRAZY and with gas prices so high your not gonna want to sit in traffic burning fuel and being able to go as fast. For everyday use you need a reliable automobile with good gas milage and maybe even enviromentaly friendly. Make your corvette a weekend car, maybe for going out or w/e. Enjoy but dont use it as an everydya vehicle. Its waay too good for that.

Answer:
At their cost if you drive too much they’ll depreciate so fast it would make your head spin. I bought a 2003 for 17,000 with 50k which is not much but considering vehicle was 50grand new that’s huge drop. Clean carfax and nothing wrong at all with it but miles and being a GM. Report Abuse

Answer:
The Corvette is probably one of the least costly automobiles to own. You want high-priced then buy a Cobalt. This may sound illogical but consider this, Original cost of car - money recouped on sale. Corvettes depreciation rate is small compared to lets say a Cobalt so therefore over a period of time you loose more money owning the Cobalt. In fact there was a time when a Corvette would appreciate as you drove it off the lot (pre 1984). So these folks believe the less miles you drive the greater the resale value and maybe a tiny appreciation in a few years. I hope this explains it.

Answer:
Yes, of course they cost a lot and they’re very nice. There are two reasons why they aren't daily drivers, first is because a Corvette is an extremely nice sporty car, the more mileage you stack on top of it, the more the value of the automobile depreciates, therefore making it harder to resell if you ever want to do so, that’s why some rich people have weekend vehicles (Corvette, Porsche, etc) , and daily driver automobiles (civics, accords, etc). Second reason is because Corvette is a super sports automobile, if I'm not mistaken most of them are either in v6, v8 or v10 ? Extreme gas guzzler, hope that answers your question!

Answer:
They’re hard to get in and out of, most have rather harsh suspension systems, causing your internals to want to leave your body after driving over poor roads, bumps, etc., and you sit so low that visibility is terrible. On top of that you have to park with inconsiderate people that don't care about scratching, dinging , or stealing your automobile!

Answer:
mostly because of what they cost and then because of the high theft rate on them, and for now gas is stopping some people from driving them all the time, even though they have the ability to afford the gas they still don't want to drive the cars all the time because the do use a lot of gas, good luck.

Answer:
because they don't want to risk ruining the paint, getting it damaged, driving it in the winter when it will start to rust, etc. exactly like you stated, they cost too much to chance it! but i'll tell you something, if i had a vette i would drive it each f*ckin day buddy!

Answer:
I never understood that. People purchase pricey vehicle and then just let it sit.

when I used to own my sports automobile (MR2), I drove it hard and to the ground. I didn't get it for show.

Your friends are being cheap.

Good Luck…

Answer:
It is a pretty tame automobile with A/C, radio, CD player, electric windows all that unlike a Ferrari or Lotus which uses pure racing technology and nothing extra.

Answer:
Normally they wouldn't be, but with today's gas prices, I think the vehicle would become a Sunday driver.

Answer:
the ride is very stiff. feels like there is no suspension. also very easy to go too fast all the time.

Answer:
The more you drive it, the less value it will retain. Low miles =good resale value.

Answer:
they’re for show not each day driuving

Answer:
Two words: Gas Guzzlers!

please help me with my questions about writing songs! thanks
