Can anyone C4 vehicle owners tell me how good this car is.

Answer:
This vehicle superceded the Xsara Hatch. If you are buying new and reselling after say 3 years, it is OK though the fit and finish is a bit iffy and the trim decidedly low rent. Few Citroens are a good long term prospects though. The hdi diesel engines (shared with Peugeot) are good and very economical.

Hi,

I've got a C4 Coupé and I love it!

Bought it because it looks great, handles well, does 60 MPG and is packed with equipment.

I commute about 200 miles a week and it's really comfortable.

Cruise control and speed limiter are a real bonus.

I have the 1.6 HDi diesel and it's really torquey and smooth, you wouldn't know it's done 124,000 miles!

The VTR trim is definetely the one to go for. You get ESP, dual zone climate control, auto wipers and lights and really great sports seats.

I've never had any reliability problems, just a recall after Citroen found a fault with the wiper and indicator stalks.

One thing that bugs me however is build quality. The buttons on the steering wheel started rattling and you occasionally find bits of loose trim here and there, but thankfully this is all covered under the warranty, and it's been cleared up.

All in all a great car to live with which turns heads and adores to rack up miles…light years ahead of the Xsara it replaced.

I'd say it'll hit 200k miles easily.

Hope this helped.
