and get it programmed. Has anyone does this? is it safe? How do you program it? How much does it cost? Thanks!
Answer:
Purchase a fob from anywhere, either e-bay or any other place that sells them (then obviously, get it cut). Programming them requires a personal that either the dealer or anyone else with this computer to hook it up to your automobile. The personal is often restricted to things such as dealerships as if anyone had them, well, we would have a problem. I’ve recently had a key programmed for me for my Ford Focus, I Just took it to a Ford dealer and they did it for me. Any good dealership should do this for you. The computer plugs into a slot that’ll be located under or around the steering wheel ( underneath the plastic on the drivers side ), it shouldn't cost you much, its a relatively swift procedure. These personal are often on a fixed base with a removable 'lap-top' sort of thing that will communicate with the fixed base via blue-tooth, meaning few places will be able to come to state your house to program the key. It is best to have it done by a dealer as once the key is programmed, Citroen will have a record that your vehicle has two keys, meaning in the future when the automobile is sold, people will be able to check how many keys your car has programmed to it before they purchase it.
