I proformed A compression test and all four cylinders were 150 psi. I’m wondering if that is within spec or not . it runs really well .
Answer:
that's good compression on that engine,if all cylinders are doing that good the compression is ok id state the valve stem seals are shot on it,those was bad for doing that,we bought brand new one and it lasted for years, you can probably get by with replacing the seals and stop the smoking ,those seals get bad and literally fall off, leaving nothing to cease the oil from entering the head, that’ll cause them to smoke all the time and at begin up,it will cost around 100-125 bucks to get those replaced, good luck with it.
Answer:
usually they wont clear up if they are gone, ours literally fell of the holders, and we replaced them, after that it never used any more oil, those was good tiny cars, great on gas too, good luck. Report Abuse
Answer:
Compression seems sufficient, as long as all cylinders are within 10% of each other, leaking guide seals sound about right, also look in the air cleaner assembly for oil carried into it by the PCV system. This might indicate blow by , caused by worn plugged oil control rings, cylinder bores, etc.
As for your codes:

Answer:
What color is the smoke, and when does it smoke? Under load, hot/cold, at begin up? BLue smoke is oil, black is too much fuel, white can be coolant. Valve stem seals will cause blue (oil) smoke and your compressoin will be good. Smell the exhaust when the smoke comes out. That’ll be a large clue as to what’s burning.
Answer:
Your compression is fine. Mitsubishi engines are known for their valve stem seals causing smoking. For 3 to 4 hundred dollars you should be able to get them replaced. Be sure and find a tech who is familiar with your engine.
