HI, i have 2003 ford crown victoria . each time i idel with the AC on … the temp raises nearly to full . when i try to drive it after that it hessitates . what could be the problem .. and tips on what should i do ?

It sounds like your high speed fan is not coming on. turn off your A/C for 30 seconds, Turn it on max and listen for a fan to kick on. If you do not hear the fan you need to address that issue first. If you do, then for some reason the cooling system cannot support the additional heat, and that issue needs to be addressed. That could be a bad radiator cap, thermostat, water pump, or a restriction. Also check to be sure there’s not a lot of debris on the front of the radiator

The hesitation is just a symptom of you engine being overheated. Don't let that happen often or you'll have far larger problems!


Answer:
I had an idle problem in my 1987 Mercury 350. It was due to using bad gas.

I switched to Shell premium and added 2 ounces of acetone per fillup. problem solved and now she takes the throttle.

Acetone is available at WalMart paint dept.
