Ac in ford taurus?

I’ve a 99 ford taurus. It only blows out HOT air. I tried putting that freon stuff they sell at wallmart, but it won't allow me to add any. What do you think could be causing this?

seem like you understand a tiny about vehicles ,,,,then try this

see if the compressor is running,,,,feel the large pipe if its cold,,,

not running ,then try to put a direct wire to the compressor,feel the pipes,, the massive pipe should be cold when the compressor is running

when putting your freon, make sure the compressor is on,and if still don't work,,take it to a shop,there is really noting you could do without all those gages and tester

i think u have to purge the system. before you put the new in you’ve to take the old out. if this still doesnt work u might have a leak in the ac lines.

A/C systems have to be purged and evaped before recharging. Yours is blowing hot air because of not recharging correctly.
