I have a 1998 Oldsmobile Cutlass, Whenever I turn the A/C on it will turn itself off after a few minutes. I have to keep pushing he button in to turn the A/C on constantly. I gets really annoying, especially on hot days. Is there an simple fix for this ? What’s causing this to happen ?

Answer:
I have seen this concern soooo many times on “N”bodies. The a/c button on the control head blinks or randomly shuts off by itself. When the a/c light stays on, the a/c works great, right? The a/c request button circuitry at the control head's circuit board is defective. You’ll have to replace the control head to fix, unfortunately. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Answer:
Well first if it comes on the turns off it is low on freon. Have it checked . It sounds care about it is in a say of needing more freon. DO NOT I REPETE DO NOT ADD FREON UNTILL YOU HAVE IT CHECKED. IF YOU DO YOU CAN OVERCHARGE IT AND LOCK UP THE COMPRESSURE.
