Honda civic ef 1991 swap??

Please help am new at this and am tryng to get into it. i have 1500$ and i want a 1991 hatch (not buble) civic si but as i get more money i want to make it faster like swap the engine so my question is wats the fastes engine i could put into the ef civic and where can i do it ……….. i heard B16A1 is very fast.. and the engine has to be under 2600 dollars

the fastest motors are the typr r's but a b16 would be good. I am doing a ls vtec swap in my 1993 civic ex that is when you have a non vtec block which is good for low end and put a vtec head on which is good for high end so you have the ideal of both worlds really good low end and really good high end those motors can put out a lot of hp but they have to build right research those motors ls/vtec and the b20/vtec hope that helps
