my dad just bought a 1992 lexus sc300 and i was just wondering if it is the same as a soarer. What makes them different? and what is the difference between the 2jz-GE engine and the 2jz-GTE engine besides the twin turbos? i also want this vehicle when i can drive so could i use soarer parts on it and it would be fine?

Answer:
essentially they’re the same car. the differences are the obvious, the motor and right hand drive vs. left hand drive.

the 2JZ-GE and the 2JZ-GTE were built a little differently. the bottom end of the GTE is stouter because it was built to handle boost. Also, the pistons and rods are slightly different due to the appilcation. GE - higher compression, GTE - lower compression (boost friendly).

soarer parts should be fine.

Its the same vehicle, except with different names because Japan didn't introduce the Lexus brand in Japan until 2007. They are the exact same. Its a nice automobile. Like it!
