i went to begin it this morning and it was idleing rough. i drove it for about 1/2 mile and thought i superior go back. when i pressed the gas harder light blue smoke came out the tailpipe and my engine light immediately started flashing. any insight?

the LS has a problem with the O rings on the valve covers pull out your coils one has oil on it that’s the gasket you will need to change

If the yellow check engine light is flashing and the car is behaving badly you have an emission control problem that could be the EGR valve or a failed oxygen sensor that's making the automobile act up. Get it to a shop and on a computer to find out what's gone wrong.

It may be that one of the spark plugs is fouled. If the spark plug is fouled with oil, you have an oil leak in one of your cylinders. When is the last time it was tuned up? Have the engine tuned up at the shop and ask to see the spark plugs.
