some tips about this vehicle? how after 100.000 m. gas. comfort etc.

Answer:
The Mk VIII is truly an awesome vehicle. 1997 and 1998, the last year of production, are pretty much identical. They were much improved over the 1993 to 1996 models. They’ve HID headlights, excellent interiors, tremendous power and are very stable on the road. They also get great gas mileage! Also their styling is still timely.

Their only drawbacks are trouble with the climate control as they age. A door in the air box breaks and the repair is costly because of the labor, not the cheap plastic part. (The replacement is metal and lasts forever) and of course heir air ride systems which can be a nightmare for the uninitiated.

Remember, there’s no reason to take these vehicles to a shop or dealer that wants to charge you thousands of dollars to repair a bottomed out Mark. All the air ride parts are readily available on the internet, new and used and their replacement is relatively easy. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another one.

Finally the front end parts tend to wear a tiny faster than on some vehicles. This might have more to do with the poorly maintained roads where I live than the components themselves. Make sure to have your alignment checked and keep an eye on your front tires for uneven or suspicious wear. You'll love the car.
