were produced in the 80's. I feel it will be a collectors car like the old lincolns of the 60's are this day because of how rare the vehicle is ? thanks tried wikiepedia nothing and other sites nothing?????????/

Answer:
It gets a little complicated, because Lincoln used the Continental on some sedans beginnig in 1959, and usually (but not always) restricted the Mark name for two-door personal luxury coupes. By 1980, the squared off sedans were called own automobiles. Town Automobile previously had been the top trim level on the sedan, with massive Lincoln two-doors called Town Coupes.

The downsized, Fox-based sedans that dowed in the 1980s sold between 21,000 and 25,000 each year during its run.

Answer:
the mark lincolns were always 2 door as far as i know. the continentals were popular because of the suicide doors. i would be really interested in seeing a pictiure of your lincoln. i think you’ll find that your lincoln is a 4 dr. continental. either way it will become a classic and collectors item because people are running buying those tiny death traps because of the gas prices. please contact me mike

Answer:
I don't think there's much chance those will ever be worth anything. Just my view. The Mark VI wasn't very tasteful, and in a 4-door, it was just not very attractive.

I don't comprehend why people who don't even know what your automobile is would respond to this question. What's the point of that?

Answer:
The Mk VI is the only one of the series that came as a 4 door model. They’re wonderful cars and I’m sure will be valuable to collectors in the near future.
