i have a 1990 626 and its motor and tranny arent in good shape but cosmetically its great
i am looking into buying a 91 and swapping parts
i am just wondering if the parts (*motor and transmission amongst others) are compatable and if a swap is possible

I had a 91 and lovved it. Yes i used to go to the junk yard and buy parts from 90 and even 89 models and put it on my automobile. Iam sure a lot of parts or even all the parts are the same.
