Considering Trading my mazda for one, because need more space and could use for side jobs

Answer:
No I would not.

I might purchase a cheap pick up for occasional side jobs.

But not an El Camino of that year at least. The emission controls are a night mare to maintain. I don't care what make it is, I just stay away from those years (1976 to 1985). I like them either with simple emission systems or with port injection.

Answer:
i would personally wouldn’t trade an RX-7 for an El Camino. one reason is the gas milage. With today's gas prices, the el camino will use twice or three times the gas amount the mazda will get you. if you want muslce and acceleration, trade it, if you want speed just keep with the Mazda.

Answer:
keep your mazda, purchase a $500 Ranger, S-10, or (keepin' it in the mazda family) B series pickup for the side jobs. The only upside the El Cam has is parts availability.

Oh, superior idea… bring me your mazda and you can have my 1994 B-3000 beater. looks aren't everything, right? B-P

Answer:
It depends on how nice the El Camino and RX7 are. I've got a 1978 El Camino 350 as a daily driver and I really care about it! Right now the engine is basically stock except for custom dual exhaust and glass packs, but I plan to alter it more later on.
