I might buy a 99 mazda 626 with 90,000 miles for 2,450 is that a good deal? it states it has no mechanical problems.
Answer:
When it comes to used cars, you should worry more about how well it has been maintained other than who built it. A 10 year old used Mazda is just as good as a 10 year old used Chevy-depending on if it has been well taken care of.
90,000 miles isnt bad for a vehicle that year and the price isnt bad. But there is no 10 year old car on the market with no mechanical problems-regardless what they’re telling you there’s going to be something wrong somewhere. Maybe something small, maybe something major. The present owner might not even know of the problem. Just about every automobile on the road has a hidden problem.
But dont let that discourage you. Get with someone who knows a little bit about vehicles to check it out real good-if it seems like a fairly stable vehicle then go for it. Main things to worry about are major items such as the transmission or engine. Things such as brakes or exhaust can be fixed relatively cheap-so if they’re bad i wouldnt worry too much about those.

I can't speak to the deal you are considering for a 99 Mazda 626. I am a Mazdaphile, but I would pass on getting a Mazda 626. It is hit or miss with the 99 version, you will love it or hate it relative to reliability. The current iteration of Mazda cars are by all means nice cars. The are simple, economical, easy on the eye, sporty, reliable, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent. Scouts honor. lol.
