Mazda 3 Color?

Author: admin

I have an `07 Mazda 3. What's the best way to preserve the color without buying the paint protection plus? I really like how red it was when i first bought it, but I recently noticed that it's slowly fading (but you can hardly tell, only I can cause i look at it every day basically) cause it doesn't have that "*POW!! im red!!*" effect to it. I know that all car color fades, but what's the best way I can help the color "age gracefully"? Like, not using a certain type of car wash fluid, or not washing it so much, etc?

thanks! mature answers only please =]

Answer:
If you want to keep the color looking it's best, you need to wax it at least every 3 months if it sits outside or 5-6 months if it is garaged.

If you are doing this yourself, use a 3-step process, which includes using a clay bar, a polish, and a wax protectant.

Wax only helps to protect your car from the elements. It won't remove the contaminants already on the paint.

In addition, make sure your car is clean (washed) when you wax it and only use micro-fiber applicators and cloths to avoid swirl marks.

Most importantly, never wax in direct sunlight. Garage is the best place for it, and you should only do it when over 50 degrees.

I could go on and on, and recommend tons of different products, but this is good for beginners.

Hi, I've got Mazda3 in Phantom Blue.

Every time I take it to car automatic car wash, once a month if I drive more and the car is dirty more frequently, I'll have it sprayed with hot wax - wax is usually mixed with water and immediately dried with hot air. The result is a thin yet effective protective layer.

It's partially water repellent and prevents dust settling in the color coating.

However, I have yet to wash my car stateside, so I have no idea what kind of car wash systems you have. But hand-wash guys should be able to wax the car as well.

I have an '07 3 as well but mine is silver. I try to just keep it washed (touch less is best) and every six months I get a good detail wax done. This keeps a good clear coat on the surface to protect it from UV. Other than that a little fading is normal and unavoidable. That's why I got the silver because it is the longest lasting color. But red is hot on a 3.

Answer:
*POW! Im Red* haha thats cute :] But use a wax on it every other time you wash your car. I think the turtle wax does fine. I wash my car every 2 weeks. BTW, unless you have some outrageous money source, DO NOT let full service car washes wax your car….they are basically stealing your money when you can do it yourself.
