It's being facelifted for the 09 model year ( looks a tiny more aggressive in my opinion ).

The diesels are now becoming true Bluetec instead of the previous CDI ( same engine but the exhaust receives the Bluetec filtration system ).

Other notable changes include the media interface abilities, and PRE-Safe becoming standard.

The M-Class was re-engineered for model year 2007, and became 164 chassis instead of the 163 chassis used from 1998-2006. The 164 is a uni-body design instead of a full-frame SUV. There are no major changes planned in the near future.

Mercedes usually change their designs after 6 or 7 years. That means a new ML will be introduced in 2012 or 2013
