Activated Charcoal Filter for Mercedes S550 2007 and 2008

Serial N: 2214700359

Does any one know what’s the purpose of that part?

and where can i buy it on the internet .

Pleas don't tell me a dealership !

Answer:
That part number is part of the fuel system, it recovers gasoline vapor from the rest of the system. It's a new part, and if you find it online the seller will be getting it from the dealer and re-selling it to you.

It's very unusual for that part to go bad, and it's not a routine maintenance item. If it has gone bad it should be covered under warranty.

Answer:
There are 2 different filters which use Activated Charcoal. If you mean the activated charcoal filter the one you supplied the part number for, it is part of the Fuel Evaporative system; that’s connected to the fuel tank and traps the gasoline vapors. Since your car must still be under warranty i assume you might mean the filter for the air conditioning.

The filters for the air conditioning filter the incoming air to remove pollutants, part number 221 830 00 18. Google the part number and see what comes up. I suggest you find one made by Mann, they're the OE supplier for Mercedes filters. Bosch is a good brand good too. Most aftermarket filters come with instructions and photos for replacement.

.

Answer:
