i need to change my oil, but i don't know what kind of oil to use
i will buy a repair manual, but until then, you’ve to help me
thanks in advance
it's a turbo diesel
Answer:
Use 15W40, but be sure it's diesel oil. On the back of the container you'll find API grades in a small circle. Diesel oil grades start with a “C” like CF, CH,,,,,,,,gasoline oils begin with an “S” like SF, SC, etc.
Read the labels and be sure you put the right stuff into your engine! Also, don't get the generic brands, use only Castrol or Valvoline.
Answer:
15W40, as noted above, is correct. However, if you live in colder climates and drive the vehicle all year, switch to a lighter grade, such as 10W30 in the winter. 15W40 is too thick to lubricate properly at begin up during colder temperatures.
