It was very similar to a check engine light but I think it said something about maintenance required. It is in yellow lights. What does it mean?

Mileage= 48k

Hardly driven

Answer:
what does the light look like?

does it state ses-(service engine soon) if so take it to an auto STORE. They run the codes for free. IM me if u need to.

disconnecting the battery won't do anything but reset it, btw. It will come back on in 40 or so miles. Your automobile runs a check about that time

Answer:
Try disconnecting the battery for about 5 minutes and see if it goes away. Buy a Chilton book for this automobile.

Often they have troubleshooting pages that will tell you what’s wrong. Don't spend money until you either know what is wrong or you just have to pay someone to fix it. Good Luck. Doc

Answer:
take it to autozone they will run a free check
