I currently own a chrysler sebring convertible and it gives too much problems and I am going to start school soon so I was thinking of a decent car that I dont have to put to much money to and is sporty and fits my personality. Is this a good car for a college student?

No, they are one of the most troubleprone cars ever built (if you're talking about the ones from 1999 to 2004), the pre-1998 Cougar's were generally good reliable automobiles.
