No, it cannot. The Lancer DE/ES/GTS are FWD only, regardless of transmission. The only Lancers that are AWD are the Evos and the 2008 Evo wasn’t available with an automatic or CVT. The Evo GSR only came with a 5 speed manual and the Evo MR only came with a 6 speed manual.

Yes . AWD means that the tires that have traction are used when driving with most torque being in front. Does not use all wheels when driving which most people think.
