its a v redg had its engine rebuilt he is asking 1300 quid is it worth it or should i leave it alone fed up getting done last three i have been conned

Answer:
If the engine has been rebuilt then it will be significantly more reliable.

Answer:
to be honest we have the ability to not answer , why was the engine rebuilt, how many miles the automobile done, any mot ot tax on it, what is the body work like and the inside of the automobile, what’s the floor like???

get the AA or the RAC to pop out and test the vehicle before you buy, okay this will cost you 45 quid but worth it for peace of mind at least if the vehicle is faulty you lost 45 quid not 1300,

if the automobile is faulty see if the seller will put it right, or knock the price down so to cover the cost of fixes to the car

Answer:
1300 isn’t a lot really to pay for a really well re built up engine, but if he used second hand parts and the engine does not last at least three years, it is a lot to loose.

Why not get one from a reputable engine re-builder for only 400 quid more? That way you will have a guarantee at least to fall back on.

Answer:
maybe the timming belt snapped and thats why it was rebuilt. if it was me i would leave it alone as once a timing belt have snapped you’ll have more problems as this happened to me.

Answer:
Leave it alone, the Astra engine is almost bullet proof so the car has done over 200,000 miles or it has been badly treated in some way.

Answer:
Take a mechanic with you to give it a once over AA offer this service
