I’ve a Diesel 1.5 corsa, revometre to 6000rpm with a red line at 5500, can any one tell me the best technique to get the best 0 - 62mph time possible? such as when to change gear in each gear, how to start, whether to slide the clutch between gears or hammer it down up etc. thanks

Answer:
You need to practice so you know when the car is running out of power. Just because it red lines at 5500 dont mean it will still be pulling hard then. It might only pull well until 5000. Dont “slip” the clutch as this will cost you time and will burn the clutch. You only get good drive when the clutch is fully engaged. Have fun and watch out for the law.
