Your vehicle has a problem. It could be as easy as a sensor being faulty or your ECU (electronic control unit) having a freak.
Run it in to a garage for a tech2 diagnostic (£50) and it will tell you the problem.

engine management light , sometimes with vauxhall if you turn the engine on and of it goes away , if it doesn't and stays on or losers power and performance go to dealer or to a garage that has an engine diagnostics machine , you might find avoiding the dealer will be a lot cheaper as I'm presuming your car is out of warranty
