Are this cars smart after all? i mean, it only gives you 35 miles a galon, my Honda 98 gives me 30 miles a galon and i have more space and the engine of course is a lot stronger than the engine of the smart car, so to me is not smart at all. What do you think.

I rented a few of these when visiting Europe.. I always thought it would be unique in US but more of a pain… It will only fit one piece of luggage in the trunk..and i mean barely fit…I also forsee people people just picking these cars and moving them out of the way..or turning it around(pranks).. I also would not want to get in accident with one… noooo wayyy.. I would recommend this car if
#1 you have a tough time driving a normal size car(parking)
#2 you dont mind an absolutely slow car that cant get out of its own way
#3 you have nothing else to spend $17,000 max on
#4 You have one friend
If you look at it 35 mpg aint great for how small it is..plus there is liker hesistation when you step on the gas. . its been about 4 or 5 yrs since i last drove one but i hope they cured it
I personally think cars like this are a waste of time..more of a novelty like a hybrid… Sure that Prius gets great milage… but its about as cool as a Hyundia which is much cheaper.. You could PIMp it out and use regular gas and still spend less then a Pruis(not to mention the gas and electricity and frustration of having to plug it in ) I have heard of an electric Smart for $30,000 - $34,000 Why? lol
Answer:
Yes, but it varies for where you live. I went to Rome in late November and they have loads of them. Reasons being? They're more versatile in the (crowded) streets and they're generally driven for lots of short periods in a day so their mileage is reasonable. I wouldn't want one where I live however.

I think the cars are cute. But you are right, the gas mileage is good, but there are other cars out there that get better mileage. But if someone wanted to give me one to drive, I'd take it. I've seen 2 or 3 on the road and they are head-turners, they are so different looking.
Answer:
No, they're not smart.
It's too small, gets poor gas mileage for it's size, it has no power and they're kind of expensive for what you get. With almost the same money, I would buy a Honda Fit or Civic over that.
And I don't see them as safe…I just see them as one more thing I'll be having to pick out of the grill on my truck.

It's better than a TaTa
Answer:
It is a safe car. I saw one crash into a wall at 70mph on youtube.com. The damages were not that bad. It is fun to drive. It has a cleaner engine. It is good, but I would not buy one because I am into faster cars.
Answer:
It's way to expensive. It's like a go kart with a roof, but 10X the price and 10X the lameness. Book Mark it-> del.icio.us | Reddit | Slashdot | Digg | Facebook | Technorati | Google | StumbleUpon | Window Live | Tailrank | Furl | Netscape | Yahoo | BlinkList
