i have a subaru wrx and a mini cooper and both take premium which is 'middle grade gas'. and yes your jag can definately take it.

The gas cap and/or gas door in the Jaguar says what type of gas to use.
If it says recomended, then you can put any gas you want.
If it does not say recomended and says to use 89 or 91, then it is required to use middle grade or premium.

the mid grade should be ok but you will be happy to
spend the extra 5 bucks a tank its better for the car
try it and see.
on those cars the commputer will change the ignition timming to use the gas but it wont run like a jag
and by the way ..i hope your useing synthetic oil ..
