I was wondering if anyone has owned/owns/knows someone who owns a mini cooper? Pros? Cons? Is it really as good on gas as it is made out to be? Thanks!

Great on gas. It gets up to 39mpg highway.
The Mini Cooper S gets up to 36mpg highway.
They are very fun to drive. One of the most fun vehicles you can purchase and some of the best handling automobiles you can buy for that price.
Not so practical because of the ultra little trunk.
Reliability is average. Not as great as Japanese cars. Better than other British automobiles and American vehicles.
It requires premium gas so that is a CON. And maintenance is expensive.

One of my children has a mini cooper. It is a cute tiny vehicle, handles very well, great on fuel economy. It parks very easily.
It isn't so comfortable for getting into and out of. The backseat is nasty for anyone of middle age or older, and it probably isn't very comfortable for a 10 year-old.
The trunk size …don't go to the super with the family, you need the backseat for groceries.

I love my MINI Cooper S. It was my dream automobile. You can get all the pros from their web site or the dealer (reliable, good gas mileage, looks awesome, good warrenty, safe, roomy inside, holds its value quite well…).

Mine gets about 32 MPG.
