I have a 1999 gtp and everytime i press on the gas it takes forever for the car to pick up speed the engive revs to lie 4 rpm and im at 40 mph. Than after that i press the gas and the revs go up and the car wont go any faster. I hear the transmission making a weird noise kinda like a Remote COntrol automobile will make. Any ideas on what can it be.

Answer:
Check the fluid level. If that’s OK, then there may be a code stored in the PCM. The noise you hear might be the pressure control solenoid amping out. It is trying to adjust the line pressure to overcome the slipping. There was an issue with the main harness that plugs into the transmission near the top of the tranny. The harness ran under the air box and on top of the trans housing. The harness would then chafe on the trans and create a short circuit in one or more wires that are going into the transmission. This created a whole host of weird transmission problems.
