Hey,
I was looking through the Porsche website and I encountered a 'Technology Glossary'. One of the technologies is a 'Sport Chrono Package', with which it grants a 'sport' option in which it states this grants for the rev limiter to be harder. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN???
Answer:
No. Not rev limited.
It gives a superior throttle response.
That means it revs up faster so it accelerates quicker.
It does not mean it can rev higher, just quicker.
The sport chrono package with the sport button should also lower the vehicle a bit and make the suspension stiffer for better handling and aerodyanmics.
Answer:
It's referring to how the rev limiter behaves… “soft” would mean that near redline, the throttle mapping tapers down until it is off. “Hard” would mean that it continues at full throttle until the limiter kicks in, and then when it does, it is off.
The first is more drivable at the expense of total performance. The second is superior as long as you can keep from hitting the limiter.
Answer:
Sounds like an auto transmission, with a button you can push to change the shift points. Book Mark it-> del.icio.us | Reddit | Slashdot | Digg | Facebook | Technorati | Google | StumbleUpon | Window Live | Tailrank | Furl | Netscape | Yahoo | BlinkList
