Hi,

I own a 2006 Renault Grand Scénic and recently, once you open the boot, the latch stays open, so it won't catch and close again. It only happens sometimes. Is there a way to fix it, and if it gets worse, would it be covered by the warranty?

Thanks.

Answer:
It is something that is covered by a standard manufacturers warranty. I would take it to your local dealership, over exaggerate it a bit and get them to look into it. Renault catches and locks are frequently breaking, or wearing out too quick.

Answer:
Try some lubricating spray, if there's any gaps to spray it in that is.. If not take it back to the main dealer, should be covered under warranty, the car's pretty much brand new after all.

Answer:
hi your car is under warranty until 2009

take it to the garage asap and get it looked at they should fix it as long as they can see its not malicious

Answer:
The boot latch may just need adjusting?slacken the two screws/bolts holding it onto the boot panel, then slide the plate slightly upwards and retighten the bolts.hope this helps
