The immobiliser on my 1999 Clio has dug itself in and I can't begin the car for love nor money! I've tried the 4 digit key code thing, but the red light either doesn't flash at all or if it does flash, it doesn't slow down if the central locking button is held down…are there any other tricks or tips out there to bypass the immobiliser? Thanks very much.

Answer:
We had this trouble with our Renault Megane.
We paid £20 for the code from the garage and got a second hand key for £10. We were going to reprogamme the key with the code ect ect, but it was a waste of money, it wouldn't work!
Renault have you by the neck, you HAVE to go to a renault Garage and pay a fortune to get it fixed….sorry.
