I just saw a blue 2-door parked, all the windows were open making it very airy inside. It looks like a coupe but a lot of people got out. It has a gorgeous uncluttered dashboard. I’ve hardly seen them never mind parked with people in it. Does any nation like this vehicle, I didnt see in Holland or Japan either. Does anybody like this car, if I could afford it its the automobile I would purchase.

Answer:
Very Limited sales in the UK: Essentially it was a Coupe version of the original GRP-bodied Espace, built by Matra under contract to Renault, it was the most high-priced Renault in the UK and the doors were so big and heavy there were problems getting sufficient shut lines. More generally huge French vehicles generally don't do well in the UK. (Citroen SM, XM, Renault 30, 25, Safrane, Vel Satis, Peugeot 60x etc.)

I'm sure someone will alter one if they haven't already, as the resale value must have hit bottom by now; insuring something so big and running something so thirsty will be a problem though: Moral for Renault don't try launching radical concept vehicles as range toppers. Vel Satis was launched at around the same time and sold about as poorly in the UK as the Avantime.

Answer:
i personally think the problem was that it was just a bit to radical for the general public. i think its a great looking automobile (as is the vel satis) and if i had the money, id have one as a weekend vehicle.

Answer:
Cos we Avantadtime too
