my best friend and i were driving up a hill in the snow in her 2007 tC. It handled very well. There were a lot of automobiles getting stuck since its a pretty steep hill.

Answer:
I think that the automobile handles great in the weather. I live in Erie PA. We get a lot of snow up here and I’ve driven though over 7″ of snow on the roads.

I'm not saying that its better then a AWD or 4X4 because I know its not. I'm just saying that for a smaller automobile it does better then I thought it would do.

I have also read from owners saying that the vehicle is horrible in the snow but I think it has to with a persons driving capability to drive in the winter weather.

Answer:
David M. got it spot on. The automobile is fine in adverse weather. the tires handle the rain well, even though dealership tires are usually of lower quality than the ones that they will be replaced with later on down the line.

As for snow, it mostly depends on the driver. Once you know the capabilities of your vehicle, you should be able to drive it through just about any weather condition. Since the automobile does have those 17″ rims, it does have a slightly higher than average ground clearance (at least compared to my old '96 Mazda Protege).

So problems with the automobile are mainly due to driver error.

Answer:
I feel very confident in my tC when weather conditions are not the ideal. Obviously, I'm not going to take it out when there is 6 inches of snow on the ground and a nice sheet of ice underneath it all. It has it's limits, but don't let the FWD fool you. When weather conditions are poor, just remember to slow down. Stability and Traction Control would be a nice extra on any FWD vehicle, but in most cases, I don't find it neccesary. Don't underestimate a 2900lb FWD coupe.

Answer:
They are like any other front wheel drive vehicles. I had the standard 17 inch wheels with Potenza tires and they were fine in rain. Not so much in snow mainly because the tires are wider than a conventional front wheel drive automobile. The tC does lack traction control and stability control which would help in slick conditions though.

Answer:
tires make all the difference.. change tires on any automobile and it change the wet weather handlign– been happy with mine though no set of tires lasted more than 25000 miles - it is afactor of the tire size and the “stickiness' of sport tires means they wear out faster.. but i liked my yokohama's ideal..

Answer:
IF YOU DO NOT LOWER THEM LIKE ANY CAR THAT HAS fwd.
