According to the Ford Workshop Manual for a 1994 Lincoln Mark VIII, the thermostat begins to open between 183 to 190* F. Fully open at 210* F. Hope this helps.

for the power steering pressure hose? just one o ring right?
Answer: 18mm for both the fitting at the power steering pump and the steering rack. Be sure to use a line wrench so you don't round the fitting. Hope this helps.
