any key you buy will need to be coded to your car, as far as i know only renault dealers are able to do this.(and usually they'll only code keys they’ve supplied).

We have the same kind of problem for Proton Waja 1.8, so what we did was after the car was towed to the workshop, we got the mechanics to bypass the immobilizer to facilitate starting (we find the immobilizer a nuisance and serve no proper purpose due to constant easy damage)
