Just curious why there is like a set of railroad crossing signals at Paseo del Norte yet I’ve never seen a train go through there, although that is a good thing considering the traffic that goes through there.
Answer: The RailRunner crosses Paseo just west of Jefferson.

You need to take the subway down to Penn Station in Manhattan (34th Street / 7th Avenue) to take Amtrak to Worcester.
Take Amtrak from Penn Station to Springfield in Massachusetts, where you have to transfer to another Amtrak train that’ll take you to Worcester.

Actually, you are only partly right, it is indeed a national embarassement, and it is mostly a matter of funding.
First class passenger rail service is dependent on ongoing dedicated public funding.
