I live in Maryland. Law requires front and rear tags here. If your vehicle was bought out of say, you might need to purchase a front tag bracket from the dealer or get a universal tag bracket form an auto parts store if it will mount properly.

Yes, the law varies from state to state. Where I live (AZ), we are only required to have one plate on the rear of the automobile. If Maryland issued you two license plates, you’re required to display both on your car.
