Recently, I got into a automobile accident with someone who didn't have collision coverage. In all honesty, his vehicle wasn't worth much, and was 10 years older then my automobile, he was totaled, I had a fenderbender. The insurance company determind it was 50/50 with who was at fault, and the woman who called stated that the entire case was a “wash”. What does that mean? And another question, they claim that it has to be 60% or more your fault for your insurance to go up, how true is that? I’ve Geico.

Answer:
Really the insurance company should be the ones answering any questions you might have. But if it was determined you were both equally at fault, 50-50, you owe the other celebration half of their losses and they owe you half or your losses. If the dollar amounts are about the same, it would be called a wash.

Answer:
For vehicle insurance the quick way to get a great quote is do a rate comparison on auto policies. Make certain that you select similar policies with the same deductibles, auto model, zip code, etc so that all options are a good comparison.

What I always recommend is an on the internet comparison quote at http://www.lowratetoday.com since they’ve discount insurers and will give multiple quotes on vehicle insurance polices.
