If you'll look at the white emissions sticker under the hood of your automobile, you'll find not only the suggested gap, but the specified spark plugs the factory installed in the vehicle.

On the radiator support, under the hood in front of the fan there should be a sticker. It has the emmision's info etc on it. It should also have the engine size and plug gap.
