Is there ay possible way to scilence a pocket rocket? I was hoping I could just purchase a superior silencer because I’ve a friend who owns one and they’re quite loud with the stock scilencer. If there’s any way, even if it means self rigging the bike, please tell me.
Here’s the bike I wish to silence http://www.minipocketrockets.com/r32-4-s…
Answer:
These bikes only look small. They have a regular 50cc engine which CAN create quite a racket if they are not muffled properly. First of all, just make sure that the existing silencer is not cracked or perforated at any place. Make sure the joint where it connects to the cylinder head is properly sealed with a good metal gasket. Sometimes it is improper sealing at the joints or holes in the scilencer itself which is responsible for the loud noise. If everything is OK then you need to look at a scilencer with thicker construction and greater number of internal baffles. Only setback with this is the limited amount of space you have at your disposal.
Answer:
Leave the motor off then it will make no noise
