Anyone know why and how to mend it?

Answer:
Engine rotation is being transferred into the transmission by way of the clutch plates, which are bathed in oil. If the oil is old, or the oil level is too high, this seems to be worse.

Check/change oil. Adjust clutch. Pull clutch lever and wait a few seconds before dropping into 1st.

Answer:
Adjust your cluch cable. If that doesn't fix it, the cable may be overstreched and needs replacing. If the problem persists, you’ve an internal clutch problem.

Answer:
sounds like the typical chain adjusment to me,if the chain is too lose and yea put it into gear yea will hear a clank and the bike will make a sudden jolt,it should also feel real sloppy when letting off and returning to throttleing,

Answer:
you need to take the bike to your local honda dealer and let them fix it. by asking this question tells me you are not qualified to repair the problem. you’ll only make it worse if you try to repair it.

Answer:
Every bike Ive ever had has done this to some degree.

Answer:

Answer:
