My son is 6 years old and is about 55 lbs. He keeps bugging me to let him out of his booster seat. I’m sick of listening to him complain about it, but I don't want to get a ticket or have to pay some kind of fine. Know any good websites where I could find laws or guidelines on this subject?
Answer:
This site is for all 50 states and yes your child has to be at least 4 feet 9 inches tall as well as being between 8 to 12 years of age………

Answer:
Most states now require kids to sit in booster seats until age 8 and 4 foot 9 inches tall. That is so that the adult seatbelt fits them correctly and doesn't injure them in a sudden stop or crash.
Tell him he needs to ride in a booster until he passes the 5 step test.
I have included a few other booster videos you might want to view, then have him watch.
